This is me
I'm Clark Dem'by Yao, a 7th semester bachelor's student in mechanical engineering, energy and process engineering at the TH Brandenburg and I'm originally from Côte d'Ivoire (ivory arts).
My artistic story
My passion for figurative art started from my early childhood, struggling to draw images such as cartoons, which have been a particular influence on me. Later in my school days, after graduating from high school, I discovered monochrome figurative art and fell in love with it. So it came about that I produced more and more works until I realized an exhibition in Abidjan in 2017 about the peace-promoting people of our history. Then I call all my Artistic activities "Clark Arts" and the aim is: not just to reproduce a photo, but to give a spirit, a vibration, a life to the drawing! Every line, every curve, every point in the drawing teaches a spirit. So you no longer have a photo, but a living body in front of you.
This was like a motivating force for me, so since arriving in Brandenburg in September 2019 I have been working on another exhibition project. This time the exhibition took place from September to October 2021 in the university library of the TH Brandenburg. This exhibition was about hyperrealism in general and I tried to bring emotion, spirit and vibration to the paintings as much as possible. In other words, I wanted to breathe new life through the many details that a painting can have. However, monochrome hyper-realistic art demands a lot of concentration and personal commitment from me, so it is often a challenge to combine the student tasks with my passion, which is both challenging and enjoyable. But as the saying goes, you can achieve anything if you live out your passion and at the same time treat yourself in a strict and disciplined manner.
As far as my student prospects at the TH Brandenburg are concerned, I work on research projects in a framework that suits me perfectly for my research and theses. Artistically speaking, I intend to go further and work on other themes and techniques for painting and drawing in order to be able to realize exhibitions in art galleries in the future.
